Hygiene Verification

Hygiene verification is the process of measuring the outcome of cleaning and disinfection rather than assuming it worked. Common verification methods include visual inspection, fluorescent marker audits, ATP bioluminescence testing, microbial swabbing and culture, and residual chlorine testing for disinfectant solutions. Verification distinguishes between surfaces that look clean and surfaces that meet a defined hygiene standard.
