ATP Swab

An ATP swab combines a sampling tip and a sealed reagent chamber. The user swabs a defined surface area, activates the swab to mix the sample with the reagents, and inserts it into a luminometer. The reaction between ATP and the reagents produces light proportional to the amount of ATP present.

Consistent swab technique—same area, same pressure, same activation procedure—directly affects result reliability. Different swab technologies are not interchangeable and cannot be compared numerically.

Used for routine surface monitoring, investigation swabs after failed audits, and validation of new cleaning procedures.
