Delivering a chemical in a fixed, ready-to-use quantity to eliminate manual measuring.

## Definition

Pre-measured dosing is a preparation approach in which a disinfectant or cleaning chemical is supplied in a fixed unit — such as a tablet, sachet, or capsule — that is dissolved in a specified volume of water. This removes the need for operators to measure concentrated liquid, calculate ratios, or estimate volumes.

## Why it matters

Manual measurement is a major source of variability in disinfectant preparation. Pre-measured dosing produces consistent concentrations across shifts, departments, and staff experience levels.

## Practical applications

NaDCC tablets dissolved in a fixed water volume to produce a target PPM of available chlorine for surface disinfection.
